YU Xueqing
Professor YU Xueqing is currently the vice president of The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China, Director of Key Laboratory of Nephrology, Ministry of Health and Professor of the Changjiang Scholar Program of China.

He received his M.D and PhD degree from Sun Yat-sen University. He finished his postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Atkins and Dr Lan at Monash Medical Center, Australia and senior visiting scholarship with Dr Richard Johnson at Baylor College of Medicine, USA. His academic positions including Chairmen of Chinese Nephrologists Association, President-elect of Chinese Society of Nephrology, Council Member of International Society for Peritoneal Dialysisi, Associate Editor of American Journal Kidney Diseases, Subject Editor of Nephrology.

His research focuses on identifying susceptible gene and function study in IgAN and Lupus Nephritis, Peritoneal Dialysis, and translational research. So far, his study has been supported by 31 scientific research grants, including National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, National Program on Key Basic Research Project (973 Program), Innovation Team Project of Ministry of Education, and Key Clinic Programs of Ministry of Health, etc. He has 268 publications, among which 96 papers were indexed by SCI, including Nature Genetics, Lancet, JASN, Kidney Int et al. He has also won 7 awards, including the 2nd prize of the National Sci-Tech Advance Award.
