YAN Lixin

Biography:
YAN Lixin did his undergraduate study at Jinlin University, and completed his Ph.D. in Mathematics at Sun Yat-sen (Zhongshan) University in 1996 under the supervision of Donggao Deng. After that, he took a faculty position at Sun Yat-sen University, where he was promoted to professor in 2004. He spent five years as a Research Fellow at Macquarie University in Australia and two years as a FRG Fellowship at Missouri-Columbia in USA. Prof. Yan was one of persons supported by Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University in 2006; the National Funds for Outstanding Young Scientists in 2009; and the 1000-100-10 Talent Program of Guangdong Province (national level) in 2010.

Research:
Harmonic Analysis, Operator Theory and Partial Differential Equations: Singular integrals, function spaces associated to differential operators, boundary value problems for partial differential equations,heat kernel bounds and functional calculi of elliptic partial differential operators.
