Introduction:

Dr. Sheng received his bachelor degree in pharmacy (2000) and PhD degree in medicinal chemistry (2005) from Second Military Medical University. Dr. Sheng is presently an Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and the Deputy Director of Department of Medicinal Chemistry. His research interests are mainly focused on (1) computer-aided drug design of antitumor and anti-infective drugs (2) structural optimization and chemical biology of bioactive natural products (3) construction of diverse compound libraries using organocatalytic asymmetric cascade reactions. He has published 56 peer-reviewed papers on Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Organic Letters, Chemical Communications etc. as the first or corresponding author. He has won several talent projects and awards including Excellent Young Scholar Funding (NSFC), CPA-Servier Young Investigator Awards in Medicinal Chemistry, and Shanghai Rising-star program in Science and Technology.

All are welcome to the lecture!
