SYSU has 4 distinguished professors and 8 young scholars of the 2016 Chang Jiang Scholars Program

Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the list of the 2016 Chang Jiang Scholars Program. 4 professors at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) are appointed as distinguished professors of the Chang Jiang Scholars Program: Prof. Bao Jigang from School of Tourism Management, Prof. Ji Hongbing from School of Chemistry, Prof. Li Jun from Zhongshan School of Medicine, and Prof. Xu Zhongming from School of Law.

Moreover, 8 professors at SYSU are selected as young scholars of the 2016 Chang Jiang Scholars Program: Prof. Chu Chengjin from School of Life Sciences, Prof. Dong Jianwen from School of Physics, Prof. He Shihai from Department of Chinese, Prof. Kuang Dongming from School of Life Sciences, Prof. Li Gaoren from School of Chemistry, Prof. Xiong Wei from Department of Philosophy, Prof. Yuan Wenping from School of Atmospheric Sciences, and Prof. Zhang Peng from School of Sociology and Anthropology.

Up till now, SYSU has 73 professors of the Chang Jiang Scholars Program, ranked among the top in universities nationwide.
