2005 South China MBA Job Fair Held at SYSU
Sponsored by Lingnan College’s International MBA Center, the 2005 South China MBA Job Fair was held at the Yebaoding Hall on November 23, which has been attended by nearly 700 MBAs and 50 renowned companies. This is the second career fair held exclusively for MBA graduates in South China region by the MBA Center after last year’s success, also an initiative much acclaimed by both students and recruiters. A short opening ceremony presided over by Zhang Yanmei, the director of the International MBA Center of Lingnan College, preceded the career fair. Prof. Zhang Jianqi, the vice-dean of Lingnan College, delivered an address at the ceremony, welcoming the attending employers and expressing his wish for various long-term cooperation projects between the university and the business community. After that, MBA students began to show up and network with their potential employers, many of whom arranged on-site interviews. The job fair is the only one that is sponsored by an MBA program
and open to all the students from other MBA programs in this area.
A wide array of famous enterprises participated in the event,
including multi-nationals like Avon, Nissan, Decathlon, Metro,
Lotus, Jabil, as well as famous local employers like Galanz, Liby
and Medea. They provides up to 200 senior management positions
altogether. Not only MBA students in Guangzhou universities but
also those in Shenzhen and Hunan Province have been invited to
this job fair to make it a real great gather of talents for employer’s
recruitment.
