President Huang Daren Inspects Prevention and Control Work of A(H1N1) Influenza

 

President Huang Daren went to the Third Affiliated Hospital of SYSU to inspect and give advice on the prevention and control work of A(H1N1) influenza on 29 April. Mr. Huang spoke highly of the sense of commitment and quick responses of the Third Affiliated Hospital to the prevention and control work of the flu, and made important arrangements concerning the further measures.

Mr. Huang noted that the Third Affiliated Hospital was appointed as the provincial designated hospital to deal with the A(H1N1) flu cases, which was a noble task and an obligatory commitment, an opportunity as well as a challenge to the hospital, not only pressing but also motivating. The university would give strong support to the hospital for the prevention and control work. It is hoped that the hospital can get fully prepared and win the battle against the flue. The hospital should actively engage in the prevention, control and cure of the flu, and try to gain experiences from the work so as to enhance its competence in dealing with the grave epidemic and promote its treatment level and academic reputation.

Chen Guihua, dean of the Third Affiliated Hospital, gave a detailed report about the recent specially assigned task which was of great emergence. Li Qiaolan, secretary of the Party Committee of the Third Affiliated Hospital, on behalf of the hospital staff, stated that the hospital would definitely live up to the expectations of the university and be devoted to do well in all aspects of the work.
