Tianya Community’s Vice President Wu Ge Visiting Alumni Forum

 

On the evening of May 20th, Wu Ge, the vice-president of Tianya community (URL:www.tianya.com) and alumni of the year of 1979 from the Department of Economics, visited Zhuhai campus and attended the forum subjected “Love My SYSU—talking Face to Face”. He delivered a speech subjected “Life is full of ups and downs --Take control of your own destiny”. Zhang Haiyan, the assistant secretary-general of Alumni Association, Yu Liren, the Deputy Party Secretary of Lingnan College and more than 200 teachers and students attended the forum.

Alumni Wu Ge talked about the opportunities which he went through with and critical decisions he made in life. He indicated that one should follow his or her heart when making a decision and have faith in himself or herself rather than fate. The process of decision making should include outcome assessment, basic facts inquiry, decision making and so on. Meanwhile, he urged students to foster their independent study ability rather than relying completely on textbooks.
