SYSU takes Lead in Building the Provincial Network and Information Security Innovation Alliance

Recently, the Provincial Network and Information Security Innovation Alliance led by Sun Yat-sen University was established in Guangzhou. The Party Committee secretary of SYSU, Zheng Detao took part in the inaugural meeting and addressed the meeting on behalf of the Alliance’s chairman unit, acclaiming it is a good chance to promote the technological innovation level of the school and enhance the capacity for economic and social development services. He indicated that the school would provide supporting efforts to the development of the Provincial Network and Information Security Innovation Alliance and make contributions to the development of network and information industry in Guangdong Province.

The Provincial Network and Information Security Innovation Alliance was an important innovative research project, a collaborate efforts of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and Guangdong Province. The Alliance was the third provincial alliance initiated by Sun Yat-sen University. Dean of School of Information Science and Technology, Professor Huang Jiwu is appointed the first chairman of the Alliance, which is consisted of 32 universities, scientific research institutes ,enterprises and so on , including Sun Yat-sen University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Institute of Software , Chinese Academy of Sciences, the calculation Chinese Academy of Sciences, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Guangdong Southern Information Security Industry Base Co., Ltd., Zhuhai Kingsoft Software Corporation.
