5. Exchange and Cooperation:
The school places much attention on academic communication and collaborations. Different teaching units hold academic lectures regularly. Recently, lecture "Communications Technologies in the new century" held by the school has attracted and gained more and more concern and support from different communication enterprises and organizations all over the country.
Moreover, the school has also employed many famous specialists in the field of computer science and electronic communications internationally as honor professors. The School also takes an active part in the activities of scholarly exchange, and it has established the relationship of scholarly exchange with a number of academic institutions such as London University, the University of Massachusetts, the First University of Paris, the University of Tsukuba and the University of Sydney.


6. Unique Programs:
In the recent years, the funding for academic research in the school has increased drastically, in the near 3 years the amount has reached 36 million RMB. After the year of 2000, the school has undertaken 84 research projects at provincial level or even higher, with over 11 items awarded either by the country or the province, including 3 patent devices. On the other hand, the faculty in the school has released 647 thesis and 93 of them have been taken by SCI, EI, ISTP.
