4. Exchange and Cooperation:
In 2004,108 research subjects were undertaken by the school and the totalled research fund added up to 18 million yuan, including 8 million yuan supported by the "Public Bidding Project of Key Problems of Guangzhou", 5 million yuan supported by the "Key Project of Technological Problems-tackling of Guangzhou" and 4 million yuan supported by the "Project of Technological Breakthroughs in Key Fields of Guangdong Province"


5. Unique Programs:
•Developing medicine from natural medicine resources (including terricolous Nanyao (medicine originally from southeast Asia and Africa) and marine medicine)
•Developing chemical synthesized medicine, biotech medicine and the modernization of Chinese traditional medicine.
•In 2003, 35 research subjects were undertaken in the school and the total research fund is 13 million yuan RMB, including 800 million yuan RMB supported by the "Key Research Project of Guangdong Province"
