Suan Qiang

 

Professor Su Qiang was born in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province on July 15, 1931. He is academician of the Chinese Academy of Science, research fellow and supervisor of doctoral candidates.

Professor Su studied at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University from 1948-1950, then at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Beijing University from 1950-1952. Upon graduation, he worked at the Changchun Research Institute of Applied Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Science, studying lanthanon. He was once director of the Academic Committee of the Research Institute of Applied Chemistry, director of the Professional Committee of Luminescence under the Chinese Society of Lanthanon, deputy director of the council of the Society of Luminescence.

Professor Su was engaged as professor by Sun Yat-sen University in December 1999. He is editorial member of the Chinese and English versions of journals such as Lanthanon, Journal of Chemistry, Chinese Chemistry, Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Journal of Chemistry in Higher Education, etc. and deputy editor-in-chief of Journal of Luminescence, member of the International Science Committee of the third International Conference on f Elements. He is also member of the 8th and 9th National Political Consultative Conference.
