Secretary Zheng Detao meets with representatives of 2012 graduates

At the meeting, Secretary Zheng first expressed congratulations to the graduates who are about to take up working posts, and asked them about their studies, life and employment in detail. The graduates voiced their opinions freely. The open, tolerant and pragmatic campus culture of SYSU has built an excellent platform for their growth; several years of study in SYSU has cultivated the spirit of being earnest and down-to-earth, seeking truth and being practical, and laid a good foundation for their future career development. Meanwhile, drawing on their own experiences, the students offered suggestions to campus construction and talent cultivation.

Secretary Zheng hopes that the students will keep the momentum of learning in a new job, face challenges in life and in society, study actively and diligently, especially enhance their ability to learn in practice; shoulder their social responsibilities, forge ahead and strive unceasingly. He noted that the alma mater will always be a strong backing for the graduates and care about their development, and he hopes that they will often come back to visit the alma mater.
