On October 16, Zheng Detao, Secretary of SYSU Party Committee, accompanied by Hao Dengfeng, Secretary of Zhuhai Campus Party Working Committee, and leaders of functional departments of Zhuhai Campus, conducted survey and research in campus canteens and student dormitories.

It is learned that student canteens and dormitories on Zhuhai Campus have been improved and maintained in the summer holidays. During the inspection in the canteens, Secretary Zheng approved of the environmental sanitation, food quality and operating conditions of the canteens, and requested the canteens to provide more considerate logistics service to faculty, staff and students. In the student dormitory areas, Secretary Zheng visited Chen Bin, a freshman in the Department of Psychology who has progressive muscular dystrophy (PMD), and inspected the floor senior office. He called for the relevant departments to show concern for and take good care of the students with concrete actions, and constantly improve various facilities to enable the students to study and grow in a harmonious environment.
