Mr. Xu said that he welcomed outstanding talents to Sina and expected them to bring innovations to the Internet in China. He said that big data was the future trend for the Internet and that Sina would pay particular attention to the recruitment of talents in mobile Internet and big data.
Sina plans to recruit over 300 graduates for about 100 positions, 75% of them for Weibo and 25% for Sina.com. Positions include technology development, product design and operation development for Sina.com and Weibo as well as editors, reporters and video editors for the new Sina media platform.
To help talents grow, Sina has its mentorship program. Starting from internship, students new in Sina will have their own mentors to help them fit in. For those in research and development and product design, Sina also has a “Green Channel”: senior administrators will hold small seminars with students to show them the most cutting-edge business and to help them realize their future goals.
