On the morning of November 16, the 40th Anniversary Reunion of School of Foreign Languages (FLS) Class of 1973 and 1974 was held in FLS Building. Over thirty alumni from FLS Class of 1973 and 1974 gathered on Honglok Campus. The event was joined by Dr. Xu Dongli, Secretary of FLS, and about a dozen of the then teachers.
The photo display titled “Our Youth Memory and After Graduation” marked the beginning of the event. More than 500 old photos were presented, most of which were captured while theses alumni were studying at SYSU. Recalling the past and the change over the years, they excitedly discussed with each other and applauded as the display ended.
Secretary Xu Dongli extended cordial welcome to the alumni and introduced the recent development of FLS and the upcoming celebration of the 90th anniversary of the foreign language discipline in FLS. She conveyed her best wishes to the alumni and said that FLS would always be their home where they would always be welcomed.
