For the last few years international students had to queue for a long time to complete all the registration procedures due to the limited spaces of the site. This spring, the Office for International Students’ Affairs (ISAO) of the University tried every effort to improve the situation. After careful design and planning, ISAO decided to switch the registration to the building of the School of Foreign Languages (FLS) where a spacious and comfortable site was offered. The professional installation was introduced for the design and arrangement of all the registration procedures and detailed instructions were placed from the university gate to many points around ISAO to FLS. On the registration site, a big conference room was available for students to fill in the registration forms, to watch the introduction slides of the University and to take a rest in the cold winter days. In the waiting area, water, chairs and Wifi were also offered, which brought a relaxing, warm and comfortable registration site for the students who come from afar to study in the University. Besides, around 50 students were recruited as volunteers to help ensure the smooth and efficient processing of the registration.

Although the first registration day was rainy and cold, all the teachers, staff and students felt good and spoke favorably of this new reform conducted by ISAO. It was considered a huge difference of care, comfort and efficiency.
