The event consisted of two sessions: topic conversation and video discussion. The students shared their opinions in Japanese with their language partners. During the first session, the students talked about their experience on the topic “Winter Break” and some of them volunteered to deliver a presentation on the stage. In the second session, after watching a TV program on hot words in 2013, the students began to compare the hot words in China and Japan, deepening their understanding of the popular culture in both countries.

The Japanese Corner has been a regular biweekly event held in FLS Building on South Campus since October 2011. This is the first Japanese Corner held on Zhuhai Campus and the Department of Japanese plans to host the event twice a month in the future. Japanese students will be invited, and those who are interested in Japanese language and culture are welcome to join the event. It will be a platform for students on Zhuhai Campus to communicate in Japanese.
