Vice President Zhu Xiping extended a warm welcome to the representatives from German universities and institutions. He pointed out in his speech that German universities have always been SYSU’s important cooperative partners. SYSU would like to develop more cooperative projects with German partners, and engage in high-level and substantive collaborations of various forms. He also expressed his hope that teachers and students can learn more about universities and higher education in Germany and benefit from the communication on the German Higher Education Day.

The German Higher Education Day was hosted by the DAAD Information Center Guangzhou and organized by the Office of International Cooperation & Exchange of SYSU, aiming at providing a platform for university teachers and students in Guangdong to have face-to-face exchanges with representatives from German universities and institutions. Since 2006, SYSU has successfully organized four such events.
