Organized by Japan Foundation, a delegation of 20 Japanese high school students visited the School of Foreign Languages (FLS), Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) on March 25. The delegation also paid a tour to JATCO (Guangzhou) Automatic Transmission Ltd. and Guangzhou Yakult Co., Ltd. along with juniors and faculty members from Department of Japanese of FLS.

During the company visit, the students listened attentively to the introduction of the company’s history and culture, visited the workshops and conducted exchanges with Japanese and Chinese staff of the two companies.

In the afternoon, the delegation arrived at FLS and visited the Center for Face-to-face Exchanges in FLS Building. Guided by juniors of Department of Japanese, they then had a campus tour of SYSU.

The one-day visit enhanced the Japanese high school students’ understanding of Japanese companies in China, and promoted cultural exchange between students of the two countries.
