Mr. Haydar Zorlu at the 1st German Studies Salon
Mr. Zorlu skillfully played three different characters: the ambitious Faust, the innocent Gretchen and the devil Mephisto. His excellent interpretation of the characters’ feelings and words impressed every audience.
On the second day, Mr. Zorlu invited all students and teachers to have a taste of the life of a stage actor by joining him in physique training. Without regular physique training, he said, his voice and performance would be less powerful.
Mr. Zorlu also had a discussion with students about literature and play. He thought that everyone had a unique understanding about the play and there was no specific definition of it. He believed that the play was an art in which the stage actors brought the characters and emotions in the script to the audiences to meet their need for classical culture.
