FLS Class of 1984 gathered for the 30th anniversary reunion

Recently, the School of Foreign Languages (FLS) Class of 1984 held a two-day reunion for the 30th anniversary of entering Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou and Luofu Mountain. More than 50 alumni came back from all over the world and spent two wonderful days with their classmates and teachers. To support the development of the School, the Class donated sixty thousand yuan to reconstruct a classroom at FLS.

On the first day of the reunion, alumni gathered at Honglok Campus, paying visit to the old classrooms where they studied and taking pictures on campus. A get-together was then held in conference room 210 at FLS, joined by the alumni, FLS Deputy Secretary Cao Xin and a dozen of teachers, including Li Genzhou, Li Youwen, Huang Feihong, Zhong Youtong, Qi Qingsheng, Guo Chuner, Xiao Jiewen, Chen Jiabao, Liang Qiyan, Li Liangyu, Lai Qiliang and Gu Xiaofeng. Teachers and alumni recalled the old times on campus and changes over the years. In the end, on behalf of the Class of 1984, Mr. Zhou Lin and Ms. He Meiling presented the 60,000 yuan check to FLS. On behalf of FLS, Deputy Secretary Cao Xin received the donation, which will be used for reconstruction of Room 406 at FLS Building.
