On October 16, 2014, Ms. Li Weihong, Vice Minister of Ministry of Education, and Mr. Xu Yanguo, Deputy Director General of Department of Social Sciences, Ministry of Education, visited Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-sen University, accompanied by Prof. Li Ping, Deputy Secretary of SYSU Party Committee.

Vice Minister Li Weihong visited the Library and Teaching Building, and listened to the introduction of the construction history and development of Zhuhai Campus. She spoke highly of the beautiful campus environment and good teaching order.

In the Teaching Building, Vice Minister Li Weihong talked with members of the student service team who were putting the bicycles in order. She praised their dedication and pointed out that we should set a good example and make a positive impact on the people around us.

Vice Minister Li Weihong also visited “The home of care and share”, a bookstore set up by the students. She learned about the operating model of the bookstore: it sells second-hand books donated by the students at a low price and supports public welfare cause with the income. She affirmed the practice, saying that spreading the idea of love and helping others with books is meaningful and valuable.
