In November, 2014, the Seal of Faculty of Foreign Languages and International Studies (FFLIS) at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) was finally adopted. From August to September, FFLIS called for designs for its seal among SYSU students, faculty members and alumni as well as the society. 26 works were submitted. After discussion and appraisal, Kong Lingpei’s design won over the others, and the Seal was unveiled.

The Seal is a vivid and elaborate combination of a flying wing and the letters FFLIS, the initials of Faculty of Foreign Languages and International Studies, which indicates the outstanding and innovative spirit of FFLIS as well as its rapid development, great potentials and consistent pursuit of excellence.
