On the night of December 21, dozens of international students and over 600 Chinese students of the work-study program gathered together in Rong II Student Cafeteria on Zhuhai Campus to celebrate the Winter Solstice, a traditional festival in China. They made dumplings, cooked tangyuan and played games.

With the background song of “Wrapping Dumplings”, the international students stood or sat around the tables and learned how to make dumplings from the Chinese students.

The annual activity, sponsored by Zhuhai Campus Student Affairs Office, has been held six times with the aim to give the warmth of home to students of the work-study program. This year the organizer invites international students from the School of International Studies to experience the Chinese culture.
