A delegation from NTPU visited SYSU

On the afternoon of January 19, a 5-member delegation from Taipei University in Taiwan (NTPU) led by Prof. Fu-Jiing Shiue, President of NTPU, visited SYSU. Prof. Chen Chunsheng, Executive Deputy Secretary and Vice President of SYSU, met with the guests in Zhongshan Building on South Campus of SYSU. Prof. Zou Jianhua, Deputy Dean of Lingnan (University) College of SYSU, Associate Professor Lu Rui, Director of EPD Center of Lingnan (University) College, and Dr. Huang Ruimin, Deputy Director of Office for Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Affairs of SYSU, were also present at the meeting.

 
Prof. Chen Chunsheng and Prof. Fu-Jiing Shiue jointly signed the academic cooperation agreement between SYSU and NTPU.
 
During the meeting, Prof. Chen Chunsheng extended a warm welcome to the NTPU delegates, and introduced SYSU’s development and exchanges with universities in Taiwan. He hoped that this visit could enhance mutual understanding and deepen the cooperation between the two universities.

Prof. Fu-Jiing Shiue said that he was glad to visit SYSU. He hoped that the two universities would deepen cooperation in related disciplines and expand fields of cooperation on the basis of university-level student exchange.

The participants discussed student exchange, EMBA program and student entrepreneurship. After the meeting, Prof. Chen Chunsheng and Prof. Fu-Jiing Shiue jointly signed the academic cooperation agreement between SYSU and NTPU.

The NTPU delegation also visited the International Business School (IBS) on Zhuhai Campus of SYSU, and held a meeting with Prof. Wu Peiguan, Executive Vice Dean of IBS, Prof. Zhou Tianyun, Vice Dean of IBS, and faculty and staff representatives. The two sides discussed research collaboration, student exchange, talent training, and hoped to strengthen cooperation and exchange in the future.
