On May 20-23, 2015, the Badminton Competition of the 9th University Games of Guangdong Province was held in Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. The Badminton Team of Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) participated in the Group A competition, winning 4 gold medals and ranked first in total score.

After two months of intensive training coached by Li Yin, SYSU Badminton Team achieved good results in the competition. In the mixed doubles, Liang Deyi and Ye Yuxin won the gold medal; in women’s singles, Yuan Xiaodi claimed the champion; in men’s singles, Liang Deyi got the first place; and in women’s doubles, Yuan Xiaodi and Ye Yuxin obtained the gold medal.
