Xiao Zhu, a 2011 student from School of Software, was perplexed when having meals in No. 1 Student Cafeteria on East Campus because the unsmooth trays there often caused the soup to spill, making the floor dirty, and sometimes even led to scald injury. Once accidentally, she saw that there was a "University Affairs Suggestion" section in the webpage of Myspace. She decided to take a chance and posted a suggestion in the Big Logistics subsection. “Unexpectedly I received a reply from the Student Union of Sun Yat-sen University within 24 hours, and then I received a reply from the University Logistics Office saying that the trays had been changed. I think they responded to my suggestion quickly. I’m very happy and satisfied that my opinion has been adopted.”

The convenient channel for Xiao Zhu to put forward a suggestion is the “University Affairs Suggestion” section in Myspace - Yat-sen Talk established by the Publicity Department in May, 2012, with the aim to build an online platform for teachers and students to report problems related to university affairs and directly communicate with particular functional departments and public service units, thus promoting green office and building saving-type campus through integration of resources. By far, there are seven subsections: University Leaders Luncheon with Students, Office of Finance and University Assets, Admission Office, Big Logistics (including University Logistics Office, Construction Bureau, Real Estate Office and Logistics Group), SYSU Libraries, Office of Security and Publicity Department.

The student team of Myspace call on more functional departments to participate, and also invite teachers and students, especially new students, to get on the “University Affairs Suggestion Express Through Train”.
