On the afternoon of October 10, the Meet-and-Greet Event for French Enterprises and College Students in South China was launched jointly by the Department of French, School of Foreign Languages (FLS), Sun Yat-sen University and French Consulate General in Guangzhou in FLS Building. Representatives from 15 French companies received college students and international students in Guangzhou in their stands. Meanwhile, the French companies also gave campus talks in the classrooms in the building.

From 15:00 to 16:00 in the afternoon, the visitors reached a peak when crowds of students exchanged cordially with company representatives. Many students presented their resumes to the companies, winning recognition and appreciation from the representatives. The junior French majors of FLS volunteered actively in the event.
At 19:00 in the evening, a reception party was held in the Multifunctional Hall in FLS Building. Professor Chang Chenguang, Dean of FLS, and Mr. Christophe Bonté, Attaché of Scientific and Educational Cooperation, French Consulate General in Guangzhou, addressed the party, fully affirming that the event facilitated exchanges between French enterprises and college students in China. The party was also attended by representatives of French companies, some faculty members of French Department at other universities in Guangzhou, and teachers and students from the Department of French of FLS.
