Recently, the SYSU Science Park Entrepreneurship (Incubation) Base has been approved as “Guangzhou Entrepreneurship (Incubation) Demonstration Base” by Guangzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. Businesses set up by university graduates in this entrepreneurship base are eligible for an annual rental subsidy of 1,000 to 5,000 yuan from the Bureau in addition to the preferential rent relief provided by the Science Park.

SYSU Science Park has formed a long-term cooperation mechanism with SYSU Youth Association, Career Development Counseling Center, Academy of Entrepreneurship, School of Mathematics & Computational Science, and School of Information Science and Technology to jointly establish the student internship and training base. With entrepreneurship education and training as the starting point, through “Win in SYSU” entrepreneurship competition and the student internship and training base, the Science Park can eventually provide entrepreneurial opportunities for outstanding student entrepreneurial projects (teams) and help them realize their entrepreneurial dreams.

Currently, the Science Park has incubated a total of more than 80 student entrepreneurial businesses (teams), over 30% of which are outstanding teams selected from the “Whampoa Entrepreneur Class”, "Win in SYSU", and “The Challenge Cup”. Guided by entrepreneurship tutors at the Science Park, over 70% of the student entrepreneurial businesses can be successful.
