On September 12, the six-day 2014 MODEL APEC Business Challenge started in Beijing. Lv Haoqiu, a senior student from the School of International Studies at Sun Yat-sen University, won the second prize, and will attend the 2014 APEC Youth Week in November this year as one of the five Chinese youth delegates.

After intense competition in the regionals and the 2014 MODEL APEC Conference, 12 candidates entered the Business Challenge. They were judged on communication skills, business knowledge, creativity and cooperation. Finally, the top five were selected to represent China in the 2014 APEC Youth Week.

The 2014 MODEL APEC Business Challenge was guided by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Commerce, CYL Central Committee and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and jointly organized by Asia-Pacific Youth Foundation for Communication and Development, Asia-Pacific Youth MODEL APEC Organizing Committee and China Youth Development Service Center.
