SYSU teams won four gold and two silver prizes in 2014 China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition

On November 1-4, the final of 2014 China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, Hubei province. Six teams from Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) won four gold and two silver prizes, earning the "Winners’ Cup" with the third highest total scores. Prof. Yan Guangmei, Vice President of SYSU, went to Wuhan to visit and encourage the students.

The 2014 China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition is established on the basis of the “Challenge Cup” National College Students Business Plan Competition. It is jointly organized by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, China Association for Science and Technology, and All-China Students Federation. This year the Competition includes three main sections: the 9th "Challenge Cup” College Students Entrepreneurship Plan Competition, Entrepreneurship Practice Challenge and Public Benefit Entrepreneurship Competition.

The six SYSU teams are selected from winners of “Shunde Cup” and “SYSU Science and Technology Park Cup” Winning at SYSU Entrepreneurship Competition. In order to make preparations for the national competition, teachers from SYSU Youth Association, Sun Yat-sen Business School and Academy of Entrepreneurship held more than 20 training sessions for the participating teams to improve their skills in project orientation, presentation and Q&A.
