The tasks of SYSU student volunteers included VIP one-on-one reception, translation and interpretation, pick-up and drop-off, etc, with working languages of English, French, Arabic and Portuguese. In early November, a month before the Summit, the volunteers attended the intensive training and drill program organized by Zhuhai Education Bureau and the Communist League Committee of Zhuhai. The program covered reception language skills, human geographic features of Zhuhai, and introduction to the World Family Summit. All volunteers started working on November 30.

When the summit concluded on December 4, SYSU volunteers earned wide acclaim from the guests, participants and organizers. Their professional and conscientious services were highly appreciated by Dr. Deisi Kusztra, President of the World Family Organization.
