On the morning of December 25, 2014, led by Prof. SHRIOUZU Noriko and Prof. MATSUMOTO Hisashi, 15 students from Yokohama National University visited School of Foreign Languages (FLS), Sun Yat-sen University.

The delegation attended the Advanced Speaking Class for junior students of the Department of Japanese at FLS. The junior students displayed the charm of various traditional Chinese arts to the visitors, including Chinese cuisine, Kunqu Opera, sugar-figure blowing, sugar painting, paper cutting and lantern.

Then both Chinese and Japanese students participated in quiz games about Chinese and Japanese Culture, which was presided over by Japanese instructor HADA Honami. The quizzes covered the history, geography, culture and social traditions of both countries.

After the class, the delegation paid a visit to Guangzhou Center for Face-to-Face Exchanges in the grand hall on the first floor of FLS Building.

Through the activities, the Chinese and Japanese students learned more about the culture of both countries and enhanced mutual understanding and friendship.
