In order to prepare for the 9th University Games of Guangdong Province, the Department of Physical Education of the School of Education at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) organized winter training for 159 students of 13 teams on South Campus and East Campus of SYSU on January 23. Each team has two professional coaches. The training will last till February 14.
The University Games of Guangdong Province is held every four years. The 9th meeting will be held in March, 2015. SYSU will organize 16 teams consisting of nearly 200 students from various schools and departments to participate in the competitions, including swimming, track and field, men’s and women’s volleyball, women’s basketball, badminton, table tennis, men’s and women’s tennis, aerobics, Wushu and orienteering.
