On the morning of May 16, 2015, the international students from Germany, France, Canada, Spain, South Korea and Japan paid a voluntary teaching trip to The Middle School Attached to Sun Yat-sen University (MSASYU) in Guangzhou. The trip was co-organized by MSASYU and the International Student Association of the School of International Studies at Sun Yat-sen University. Miss Ye Weiyin and some Chinese students from the School of International Studies also attended the event.
International students teaching in the middle school
The international students explained their countries’ cultures with well-prepared PPT and videos. The middle school students showed great interest and raised questions about different cultures. The discussions and interactions created a strong learning atmosphere in class.
"Running man" game
Besides teaching, the international students also took part in the “Running Man” game with the middle school students. They had a lot of fun, and the campus was filled with laughter and happiness.
Later on, the international students took an evening cruise on the Pearl River and enjoyed the amazing night view. The one-day voluntary teaching trip came to an end.
This voluntary teaching trip, as one of the special activities of School of International Studies, brought the idea of internationalization to the middle school and built a bridge for Chinese and international students to communicate and interact with each other.
