On the morning of May 28, Secretary Zheng Detao came to the North Campus kindergarten, South Campus kindergarten, primary school and middle school attached to Sun Yat-sen University, bringing holiday greetings to the children ahead of International Children’s Day. Leaders of relevant functional departments, schools and affiliated hospitals attended the activity.

The group led by Secretary Zheng Detao visited some classrooms, watched the children doing morning exercises at the North Camus kindergarten, and held discussions with the administrative leadership of the schools and kindergartens. Secretary Zheng Detao listened to the report on enrollment, faculty development, teaching quality and campus security. He thanked the schools and kindergartens for offering high quality teaching to the children of SYSU faculty and staff. He cared about the difficulties in the process of development, and asked about teachers’ benefits and housing conditions. He said that the University will give full support to the development and construction of the schools and kindergartens.
