On the morning of March 28, at the first “Zhongshan Talents Fair” held by the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee and Zhongshan Municipal People’s Government, on behalf of Sun Yat-sen University, Vice President Li Mengfeng signed a comprehensive cooperation framework agreement with Zhongshan Municipal People’s Government.

The signing of the agreement indicates that SYSU and Zhongshan City have reached consensus on decision-making consultation, science and technology cooperation, talent cultivation and city-university cooperation joint meeting system according to the principle of "strengthening cooperation, complementing each other’s advantages, equality and mutual benefit, and developing together". The two sides will further establish comprehensive cooperative relations, promote the integration of university’s science and technology with local economy, improve SYSU’s science and technology innovation capability and the ability to serve regional economic and social development, and accelerate the development of strategic emerging industries in Zhongshan City.
