Prof. Scott Sheppard, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Queensland University of Technology, visited SUSU

Recently, a delegation led by Prof. Scott Sheppard, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), visited SYSU. Prof. Yan Guangmei, Vice President of SYSU met with the guests. Prof. Ling Wenhua, Director of Office of International Cooperation & Exchange, Prof. Hao Yuantao, Dean of School of Public Health, Prof. Zhu Huilian of School of Public Health, Prof. Chao Hongyang, Vice Dean of School of Software, attended the meeting.

Vice President Yan Guangmei extended warm welcome to Deputy Vice Chancellor Scott Sheppard. The two sides reviewed the cooperation and exchange between SYSU and QUT in the past year, and hoped to further collaboration in teacher and student exchanges and joint educational programs. Before the meeting, the QUT delegation held talks with representatives from School of Public Health and School of Information Science and Technology respectively to discuss cooperation plans in the next step.

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) was founded in 1908. It combines teaching with practical application and keeps close cooperative relations with industries in Queensland. According to the 2012-2013 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, QUT ranked 10th among universities in Australia.
