In 2008, the Alumni Reunion Day was officially established in SYSU. In 2012, the “degree ceremony”, similar to the “degree granting ceremony” for current graduates, was initiated and the alumni were invited to re-experience the solemnity and excitement they felt years ago when they graduated from SYSU.
