The 13th Asian Logic Conference held at SYSU

The 13th Asian Logic Conference was held on South Campus of Sun Yat-sen University from September 16 to 20, 2013. The conference was co-organized by Sun Yat-sen University and Nanjing University and partially supported by the Association for Symbolic Logic.
At the opening ceremony, Professor Zhu Xiping, Vice President of Sun Yat-Sen University, highly praised the Asian Logic Conference series for its significant role in promoting the exchange of ideas among logicians and also wished the conference a complete success.

Professor Ju Shier, Director of the Institute of Logic and Cognition at Sun Yat-sen University, as the Chairman of the conference, gave the opening speech and a warm welcome to participants from all over the world. He pointed out that the conference played an important role for the development of logical study in China and served as a significant platform for world-wide logicians.
The Asian Logic Conference is one of the major international conferences in mathematical logic. Nearly 80 specialists from Japan, South Korea, India, Singapore, USA, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Austria, New Zealand, etc, participated in the event this year.
The series features the latest scientific developments in the fields of mathematical logic and its applications, logic in computer science, and philosophical logics. During the five days of the session, specialists discussed and debated about the above-mentioned topics. Collected papers of the conference will be published by World Scientific as a conference proceeding.
