Vice President Wei Minghai introduced the tradition and general situation of SYSU. He pointed out that this visit to China was a great opportunity for sharing thoughts and experiences, and hoped that the delegates could enjoy and gain a lot from this visit.

Dean Zhou Xiaobing said that it was the first time for the School of Chinese as a Second Language to host the Chinese Bridge delegation from Myanmar, and he hoped that the delegates would share with us Myanmar's experience of teaching Chinese as a second language.

It is learned that the delegates will participate in the Chinese cultural experience activities with Lingnan cultural features and educational observations in the SYSU affiliated primary and middle school, as well as second language classes of the University during their one-week visit.

The event is hosted by Hanban and undertaken by Sun Yat-sen University. It is part of the "China-ASEAN Youth Exchange Program", with the aim to promote the Chinese teaching in primary and secondary schools in Myanmar, and to enhance the cultural communication between the people in China and Myanmar.
