Haikou, Dec 22 (Hainan Daily) – Today, the meeting to celebrate the 88th Anniversary of Sun Yat-sen University, the 30th Anniversary of SYSU Alumni Association in Hainan and the New Year Party was held in Haikou. More than 500 SYSU alumni in Hainan were present at the meeting.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of SYSU Alumni Association in Hainan. Centering on the theme of "carrying forward the SYSU spirit and enhancing friendship among alumni to achieve unity, mutual assistance and win-win", the meeting aims to further strengthen the liaison and friendship among SYSU alumni in Hainan and promote the economic and social development of Hainan.

Tonight, the public welfare auction is held at the New Year Party. All pieces are donated by the alumni in Hainan, and all the money gained will be donated to the annual Love Scholarships and Grants for Freshmen in Sun Yat-sen University.
