President of Singapore Management University Visited SYSU

Recently, Professor Arnoud De Meyer, President of Singapore Management University (SMU), and Professor James Tang, Dean of School of Social Sciences, SMU paid a visit to Sun Yat-sen University. Wei Minghai, Vice President of SYSU, and Fu Zhengping, Vice Dean of School of Management, SYSU had a discussion with the guests.

Vice President Wei Minghai expressed a warm welcome to President Arnoud De Meyer and his team. President Arnoud De Meyer gave a brief introduction to SMU and expressed the hope to deepen cooperation with SYSU in student exchange program, joint postgraduate training program and collaborative scientific research. Vice President Wei Minghai agreed with him on this and hoped the two sides to innovate the cooperation mode of student exchange to attract more SMU students to come to SYSU for exchange study. The two sides also had a more in-depth discussion on joint postgraduate training program and collaborative scientific research.

Singapore Management University was founded in 2000. It ranks third in Singapore after the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University.
