On the morning of September 25, the Signing Ceremony of the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement between China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CSG) and Sun Yat-sen University was held in SYSU. CSG Chairman Zhao Jianguo and Deputy General Manager He Xiqiang, SYSU President Xu Ningsheng, Executive Vice President Xu Jiarui and Vice President Xu Anlong, department leaders of both sides, and relevant media, a total of over forty people attended the signing ceremony. In his address, Deputy General Manager He Xiqiang said that this time CSG will establish a deeper and wider cooperation with SYSU. The cooperation between the two giants will further enhance CSG’s scientific and technological innovation ability and its standard of corporate management, and add a new driving force to the sustainable development of the enterprise. Executive Vice President Xu Jiarui indicated that SYSU has always attached great importance to its cooperation with enterprises. Through the signing of the agreement, SYSU will give full play to its advantages as a comprehensive multi-disciplinary key university, and together with CSG explore a collaborative innovation mode geared towards industrial and regional development, so as to make greater contributions to the social and economic development of Guangdong Province.
President Xu Ningsheng and Chairman Zhao Jianguo fully affirmed the achievement of SYSU and CSG in their initial collaboration, and exchange views on further cooperation in relevant fields such as science and technology, talent cultivation, and enterprise management consultation in the next stage.
On the basis of the strategic need of the power grid industry and CSG’s “12th Five-Year” scientific and technological development plan, and in combination with CSG’s actual demand, SYSU and CSG will develop an all-round cooperation in the following four fields: scientific and technological breakthrough, talent cultivation, enterprise management and transformation of research findings. In tackling key scientific and technological problems, the two sides will have continuous and in-depth cooperation in new energy exploitation, distributed energy application, smart grid, electric vehicle, energy saving and consumption reducing. In talent cultivation, SYSU will help CSG cultivate high-level technological and management talents by means of professional training; CSG will work with SYSU to jointly cultivate talents by providing relevant practical training and internship. In enterprise management, the two sides will hold regular meetings, strengthen cooperation in marketing, management and business mode innovation, constantly improve enterprise management theory, and innovate enterprise management mechanism in practice to raise the management level. In promoting the transformation and application of scientific and technological findings, SYSU and CSG will focus on the construction of the National Supercomputing Center of Guangzhou as well as “green and low carbon” campuses and hospitals, and the launch of smart grid demonstration projects.
