Mr. Yang Chang Soo, Consul-General of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Guangzhou, Visits SYSU

On the morning of July 24, Mr. Yang Chang Soo, Consul-General of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Guangzhou, together with two other officials, paid a visit to SYSU. President Xu Ningsheng met with the guests in Zhongshan Building. Guo Wenliang, Dean of Education School, Wei Zhijiang, Director of the Institute for South Korean Studies, Shen Chengfei, Associate Professor of Department of Social Science Education, and Xu Yao, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation & Exchange, attended the meeting.

President Xu Ningsheng said that SYSU has already established cooperative relationship with many leading universities in South Korea, and hoped that the Consulate-General of the Republic of Korea in Guangzhou will further promote a deeper level of collaboration between SYSU and South Korean universities, build a platform for academic research and exchange, and continue enhancing communication among students.

Consul-General Yang Chang Soo agreed with President Xu, and expressed his support for SYSU to further expand cooperation with colleges and universities in South Korea.

Mr. Yang Chang Soo took office as Consul-General of the Republic of Korea in Guangzhou on February 29, 2012. This is his first visit to SYSU as the Consul-General.
