The Second China-US Forum on Intangible Culture Heritage Held in US

Recently, The Second China-US Forum on Intangible Culture Heritage (FICH): Case Study, co-hosted by The Curb Center of Vanderbilt University and Institute of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage, SYSU, was held in Nashville, the famous country music capital in Tennessee in the United States. More than thirty experts on intangible cultural heritage from two countries communicated and discussed cases in the ICH protection process. This forum aimed to strengthen the exchange and academic cooperation between scholars both in China and US, so as to draw more attention of international community and to promote the ICH protection into depth development.

It was reported that the forum was assisted by American Folklore Society (AFS) and China Folklore Society (CFS), and it also got the financial support from Henry Luce Foundation, SYSU Lingnan Foundation and China’s Ministry of Education.
