Vice President of University of Glasgow Andrea Nolan Visited Sun Yat-sen University

Vice President of University of Glasgow Andrea Nolan, heading an delegation, visited SYSU on the morning of March 1st and they were received by Vice President Wei Minghai in the VIP Hall of Zhongshan Building in South Campus.
This was the second time Vice President Nolan paid the visit. The two parties further discussed the details about modes, fields, and schedules of the cooperation between two universities on the basis of an intention agreement in medical field reached in November 2011. The meeting tentatively agreed on several cooperation programs such as teachers training, cooperative research, students exchange, joint training, resident doctors training and so on. Predominant disciplines of both universities, which include fields in public health, immunology, angiocardiopathy, cancers and infectious diseases, will be given the priority. After that, they will seek the possibilities of establishing a medical graduate school and participating in Guangzhou Intellect City Program based on ful understanding and cooperation.
Director of Dean’s Office of Medical Education Xiao Haipeng, Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange Ling Wenhua, Assistant Dean of Zhongshan School of Medicine Wu Zhongdao, Deputy Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange Zhang Qi and others attended the meeting.
