Delegation of the Japan Tokyo Foundation Visited Our University

On February 22, Mr. Tetsuya Fukagawa from the Tokyo Foundation and other two delegates visited our university. Managing Vice-president Xu Jiarui, President of the Management Committee of SYSU Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (SYLFF) met the guests. Principals in charge of the Office of Finance and University Assets, Office of International Cooperation & Exchange, Office of Social Science and Humanities, Office of Student Affair, and the Graduate School, attended the meeting.

Managing Vice-president Xu Jiarui extended warm welcome to the Tokyo Foundation delegates, before he introduced the operation principles and overall situation of SYSU Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund, as well as its positive effects on talents cultivation, and expressed sincere gratitude to Tokyo Foundation’s concern and support for our university. During the meeting, Graduate School reported on the 2009-2011 financial operation of the fund to the delegation and SYSU SYLFF Management Committee. The delegates and office principals discussed in-depth on the investment style of the fund, project management policy and the follow-up project cooperation. The two sides reached a consensus on strengthening further cooperation, improving the operation effects of SYLFF, and promoting the quality of graduate students’ cultivation, etc.
