Huaishi Hall was graciously decorated and all the seats were occupied by eminent guests on the evening of Dec. 29. 2012 SYSU New Year’s Wine Party and the Grand Launching Ceremony of SYSU Museum Project Fund was held. Nearly 150 people including Guangdong Provincial Party Standing Committee member, Head of Propaganda Department, Honorary President of SYSU Alumni Association Lin Xiong, Director of Guangdong Judicial Department and Honorary member of SYSU Alumni Association Yan Zhichan, Mayor of Fushan and Honorary member of SYSU Alumni Association Liu Yuelun, SYSU Party Secretary, President of SYSU Educational Development Foundation Zheng Detao, President of SYSU and SYSU Alumni Association Xu Ningsheng, SYSU Deputy Party Secretary, Executive Vice President of SYSU Alumni Association and President of Entrepreneur Alumni Association Li Ping, SYSU Vice Presidents Chen Chunsheng and Wei Minghai, Assistants to President Chen Huanwen and Li Shanmin, representatives of Alumni Association Committee, members of Entrepreneur Alumni Association Committee, Alumni representatives from all walks of life, and Alumni volunteer professor representatives Xia Shuzhang, Li Yuesheng, Huang Tianji, Feng Dawen and Liang Biqi attended the ceremony, which was hosted by Deputy Secretary Li Ping.

After this special wine party, the ceremony started with the sand painting master’s performance of World Museum Tour.
