th, Nepal Medical Association DR. DEV NARAYAN SHAH and a delegation of five people visited Sun Yat-sen University. SYSU vice-president Yan Guangmei received the delegation.
On the morning of 8
th, Wu Zhongdao, associate dean of Zhongshan School of Medicine, introduced the undergraduate teaching of Zhongshan School of Medicine, especially the teaching of MBBS to the guests. The guests communicated with SYSU professors on the teaching of MBBS overseas students. Liu Chuanghua, deputy director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department and more than 10 teachers from Teaching Affairs Office of Medical School, Zhongshan School of Medicine, Cancer Center, First Affiliated Hospital and ophthalmic center participated in the meeting.
The delegation visited Department of Neurology of the First Affiliated Hospital, medical specimen room, clinical skills center, Museum of Medical Sciences, Basic Medical Experimental Teaching Center and the Medical Library. They also visited Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center and Guanghua School of Stomatology. The delegation listened to the 2011 MBBS overseas students’ Chinese language course in the new teaching building. Teacher Chen Meishuang’s lively and vivid way of teaching has been recognized by them.
It is reported that the purpose of Nepal Medical Association Delegation was to study the recruitment of MBBS overseas students in China. In Sun Yat-sen University, the delegation affirmed hardware conditions and qualified teachers in Medical Department.
